Learn about muscular/skeletal anatomy and the scientific process as we work to improve ballet, modern, contemporary, and jazz technique. Dancers will target specific muscle groups to improve strength and flexibility and work together to design an anatomically based cross-training regimen to be carried out throughout the session. After 5 weeks of training, dancers will assess results, be guided to create a lab report on the experience, and present their findings during the August 7th class. Lab reports and presentations will receive feedback from a group of science, dance, and mathematics professionals.
Each class will be approximately 1 hour long with the exception of July 3rd and July 31st classes, which will be up to 2 ½ hours long.
Teachers: Joelle Szychowski, Jess Galvez
